Los Compadres

A Long Beach Favorite

Los Compadres is undoubtedly a favorite restaurant for locals. There are two locations, the larger and more popular of the two is located on Anaheim St. The Pine location is much smaller, very difficult to find parking. In regards to the food, the quality is the same.

If you plan on visiting be prepared to join the waitlist. During the week you can expect to wait around 15-20 minutes. Wait times can run much higher on weekends, anywhere from 30-40 minutes. Is it worth the wait time? yes, Los Compadres serves up some of the best Mexican food in Long Beach. Did I mention they have fresh hand-made tortillas? Yup!

There was a bit of a wait when my friends and I arrived. We decided to sit at the bar and went straight back there. While at the bar I ordered just a Michelada ($10) and it was sooo good! I'd definitely recommend trying one. They also bring out chips and salsa which are really good. We were able to put our orders in quickly. I ordered the Chile con carne plate which came with rice, beans, and tortillas. My friends ordered a wet burrito and some carne asada plate. Overall the food was AMAZING. The staff was quick and attentive. And I'd definitely recommend trying this place. It is a little pricey so that's something to keep in mind. Plates average about $25 and up. I'll be going back for sure.

Went to Los Compadres for an early birthday dinner. I was super excited because based on reviews this place is great! The reviews were absolutely accurate. This place was delicious! We had camarones a la diabla, aguachiles, a crispy taco and enchilada plate and a margarita and michelada. Everything was delicious! My michelada had a candy straw! The aguachiles were delicious, and the green sauce they were in wasn't too spicy. I loved my shredded beef enchiladas and taco, and my partner loved his camarones because it was actually SPICY! With whole peppers! Really good! The only downside is that they don't take reservations :(! So we waited close to an hour to be seated. Other than that service was impeccable, I'll definitely definitely be back!

Had a blast with my Long Beach buds @loscompadreslbc yesterday‼ Enjoyed some adult bevies and one helluva lunch spread . Los Compadres had ample outdoor seating, multiple COVID safety measures, and pretty damn delicious food and drink. Their fajitas were top notch and they served quality cuts of meat! I also LOVED the flavor of their enchilada sauce and the chile relleño was definitely one of the better ones I have tasted. Highly recommend stopping by and checking them out next time you're in the LB .

Nice hostess. Nice staff. plenty of Outside Seating/Tents available at this location. We got there at 8:40pm tonight and they seated us right away... the Aguas frescas are sweet but refreshing. Decided to go with the Scrambled eggs and Nopales (Cactus) the corn tortillas looked handmade and were thin. It was a good breakfast for dinner, mind you big portion for a Petite thing, si leftovers for tomorrow.
