Nine years ago, father and son duo, Dan and Jesse, began home-brewing out of their garage in Southern California. That was the beginning of a change in their relationship, from a tumultuous one to one of mutual respect and friendship. In 2012, they decided they wanted to share their passion with a larger audience and thus, Ten Mile Brewing was born.

Ten Mile Brewing Co: A Look Inside Signal Hill’s Craft Brewery

Ten Mile Brewing Co., a brewery and tasting room, opens Thursday in downtown Signal Hill, giving brewery-loving residents another place to explore. The father-and-son duo of Dan and Jesse Sundstrom were already well-known homebrewers and beer aficionados: Dan brewing for home and Jesse serving as the “beer guy” at the family’s restaurant, Del Taco, in Lakewood. They took those same experiences and literally made them into a steel business before opening their tiny craft establishment.

Went to Steelcraft Bellflower and enjoyed the IPAs so much, they mentioned the main brewery was in Signal Hill. A week later, i ate somewhere in LB and while driving home, i passed a sign CITY OF SIGNAL HILL. I remembered the brewery, got directions, and arrived in 5 min hahaha The spot is so lowkey (awesome) and a good number of tables. There was a food truck selling tacos and stuff. The bathroom was clean and was decorated pretty cool/urban/ minimalistic.

Hey guys, if you're looking for a mellow chill place to hangout either with your date or friends , this place is awesome! Very low key and chill. Staff is super friendly an amazing. We met a young lady named Charlie who was very nice and inviting. She kept checking up on us and was always friendly. Definitely recommend this place!

Always a great beer or twoSo nice to sit on patio on these beautiful sunny daysHad a scallop poor boy from Anarchy Seafood. Scallops were big and so tender and juicy in a light corn meal batter. Bun was toasted perfect and sauce had a great flavor. Cucumbers added a nice fresh taste to the sandwich. Had a couple of good one to wash it down. Monte a fresh weissbier and a Piethora of Pintas a smooth lager. Always enjoy my time here

This is my favorite beer spot in Long Beach. I have yet to be disappointed by anything I have tried and there's been a lot! The atmosphere has a great vibe! The staff are super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable to what's in tap! The food trucks give you a different flavor each day of the week. Even with the pandemic, they are making the space for all to come and enjoy! I've brought many friends with me and they have all left with the same response, can't wait to come back to this spot!
